Meet your Captain! Captain Hopper is a life-long tournament winning fisherman and seasoned professional with an amazing record for catching the big ones. Captain Hopper has spent the past 20 years as a Captain on the North Shore waters of Oahu. Hopper holds a Master Captains license as well as a PADI Dive Master Certification and is top notch marine engine mechanic. Working his entire life fishing from Salmon to Deep Sea, Captain Hopper knows how to stuff the fish box to the brim.

When my wife agreed that we needed a vacation and Hawaii was our destination the first thing that came to my mind was world-class sport fishing. After weeks of researching up on charter boats in Hawaii we declared the Grand Slam to be our boat of choice and booked it a month in advance. Captain Hopper and the crew did not disappoint, we had a blast hunting down huge 150 lb Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi were also on the days to-catch list. We just went on our second trip with them and totally scored – again! Yesterday’s trip included our 4 teenage children. They put us on 28 Mahi Mahi and we landed 27!!!
Our first trip was just the two of us for my husbands bday, and we caught 5 big Ahi – yellow fin tuna in October 2013.
They run a tight and clean operation, the Grand Slam is a good boat, plenty of room for 6. And they’ve just installed two new engines, so no more stinky diesel fumes.
We will definitely go out with them again!
