When my wife agreed that we needed a vacation and Hawaii was our destination the first thing that came to my mind was world-class sport fishing. After weeks of researching up on charter boats in Hawaii we declared the Grand Slam to be our boat of choice and booked it a month in advance. Captain Hopper and the crew did not disappoint, we had a blast hunting down huge 150 lb Tuna, Wahoo and Mahi were also on the days to-catch list. Best deep sea fishing trip ever!! Captain Hopper and John were fun and professional. Every question we asked they answered with detail to where we understood. We just went on our second trip with them and totally scored – again! Yesterday’s trip included our 4 teenage children. They put us on 28 Mahi Mahi and we landed 27!!!

Our first trip was just the two of us for my husbands bday, and we caught 5 big Ahi – yellow fin tuna in October 2013.

They run a tight and clean operation, the Grand Slam is a good boat, plenty of room for 6. And they’ve just installed two new engines, so no more stinky diesel fumes.

We will definitely go out with them again!

Where Your Adventure Begins

The Grand Slam is located at Haleiwa Harbor in Haleiwa, Hawaii, on the beautiful island of Oahu. We are located on the backside of the harbor on the dock closest to the Anahulu River. Stay to the right after entering harbor to find us easier.
