Grilled Mahimahi with Sesame Soy Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 x 8 oz. mahimahi fillets
- ½ c. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp. thyme
- ½ tsp. pepper
Sesame Soy Sauce
- ¼ c. rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. ginger, grated
- ¼ c. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- ¼ c. sesame oil
- ¼ c. peanut oil
- 2 tsp. hot chili oil
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Whisk together olive oil, lime juice, cilantro, thyme, and pepper to create a marinade.
- Pour into a zip top plastic bag and add mahimahi fillets.
- Shake bag to coat fillets and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the sesame soy sauce in a food processor or blender. Process the rice wine vinegar, ginger, soy sauce, and mustard until just blended, about 10 seconds.
- With the food processor still running, slowly add the sesame oil, peanut oil, and hot chili oil.
- Transfer marinade to a bowl and mix in sesame seeds.
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- Serve with the sesame soy sauce.
